If reading this most likely you participated in the staking process for the OriginTrail StarFleet Chain, which concluded on March 18, 2021.

All participating addresses have received the artwork below via airdrop into the staking wallet, in the form of an ERC-1155 “IOTB” token minted on the xDAI network.

The recipient whitelist was assembled from this list of 1601 boarding addresses on OTHUB :

What exactly are NFTs?

Think of Non-Fungible Tokens as data containers with pair <> value attributes attached, like packets with labels written on them. These are transferrable from one wallet to another and, if standards compliant, can interact with dApps across various chains, ingesting additional data & attributes or sharing the data they contain via smart contract interactions.

Much attention currently focuses on Art NFTs but artists are just the early adopters, looking ahead many anticipate NFTs of a more utilitarian nature will become central to financial services, digital identity, marketing, and various other Web 3.0 use cases. IMO OriginTrail looks strongly positioned in this with upcoming GDPR compliance solutions and “kToken” knowledge economy use cases sure to demonstrate the potential of non-fungible tokens beyond the visual arts.

HOW TO MANAGE YOUR SFC NFT

OPTION A

  • Connect MetaMask to the same wallet you used to interact with the boarding contract. If you interacted through several wallets you will receive an NFT at each one and can repeat these steps with each wallet
  • Visit https://iofthebehodler.info/wallet.html
  • Click “Open Details” to view a page with the image and details fully expanded

OPTION B

  • Visit Epor.io
  • Make sure your metamask is set to the xDAI network and signed into the same wallet you used to stake with.
  • Epor.io something like the OpenSea of xDAI. Currently the only platform that allows you to view the complete transaction history for any xDAI NFT + the ability to click through & view the collections of other wallets hodling the same NFTs, pretty cool : )

OPTION C

  • Visit https://nft.xdaichain.com/bridge
  • Make sure your metamask set to xDAI network and signed into the same wallet you used to stake. This is a view only gallery, no ability to transfer from this page. This page is actually an xDAI <> ETH NFT bridge but i have no idea what comes out on the ETH side insofar as what wallet mints the ETH version and what metadata comes with that. the fees are very expensive so I haven’t tried. if you do please let me know about your experience.

What can you do with this NFT?

HODL
• No action required. The NFT will remain in your wallet & you can access it any time should you decide to do something with it.

TRANSFER
• On the wallet page click the little pencil icon and select “Transfer”. A prompt will ask for the receiving address. Do not transfer this to wallets you ( or the intended recipient ) don’t personally control, for example do not send to an exchange wallet. Transferring to a wallet you aren’t able to easily connect to MetaMask isn’t recommended as it may prove challenging to execute any further operations without linking the wallet to a Web 3.0 interface like MetaMask. The ideal storage = a hardware wallet connected to MetaMask.

RESELL
• Can be offered for sale on both Unifty.com & Epor.io xDAI NFT marketplaces.

How do I produce these animated artworks?

I typically use a combination of Photoshop ( image editing ), Blender ( 3D modeling ), Fusion ( video FX compositing ), P5 ( a browser based graphics programming language optimized for visual arts ), Premiere ( video editing ), and online video-to-GIF converters to create these works. Most of the magic happens in Fusion, where all the different elements are woven into seamlessly looping visuals and rendered to series of 2D frames. Appropriately Fusion composites are built in a “node graph” of linked processing nodes organized in a schematic graph, each performing a discreet operation on the imagery.
You can view the node graphs for each IOTB nft on the full details pages at iofthebehodler.info.

Hope you’ll enjoy the thrill of owning your new OriginTrail StarFleet Boarding NFT ; )

If you appreciate this sort of thing be sure to surf my links and check out the body of work I’ve produced around OriginTrail and other crypto myths and memes. The best ones I’ve tokenized & made available for discerning collectors as 12/12 limited edition xDAI NFTs at :

Stay tuned for the release of previous works and interesting new ones in the near future, especially as I begin exploring interactive and API-data based NFTs in the months ahead, expecting some fun, memorable, collectible work to come out of it which I hope everyone will enjoy : )
